On October 7, 2022 eight jumpers over 80 set a new JOES World record formation in Deland Florida at the International skydiving museum Hall of Fame event. The jumpers were Cliff Davis, Paul Hinen, Walt Green, Sky Huminsky, Scotty Gallen, Jim Culhane, Woody McKay and Ted Williams. The previous record was a six way set in 2012. Image by Dean Nordstedt.

Tandem Jumps
NOTE: Tandem jumps will be booked separate from the reunion registration. You DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER for the Pioneers Event to take advantage of this incredible opportunity to experience skydiving for the first time. If you want to do both – join the pioneers for their activities including dinner Friday and Saturday nights AND make a tandem skydive, please register and sign up for both.
For this one weekend (March 19-22) you can make a skydive near Yuma – an adventure unlike any other experience in your life. Jump at the Center of the World at Felicity, CA, approximately 10 miles west of Yuma.
Skydive Arizona, the largest skydiving center in the world, is bringing their expertise, an airplane and professional tandem masters to Felicity, CA for one weekend in conjunction with the Pioneers of Sport Parachuting Reunion. You might also meet skydiving pioneers and seasoned jumpers who love to share the joy and excitement of first-time skydivers because no one ever forgets their own first jump and the thrill it gave them.
Password to book and pay your deposit is “pioneers” (all lower case).
Total Cost is $240. A $50 deposit is required to book your Tandem Jump.

- Walk down the Museum of History in Granite – two-inch thick granite walls inscribed with everything Jacques thinks is worth telling to future generations.
- Step inside the Pyramid and stand on the disk that is the Official Center of the World.
- Walk up to the Church on the Hill (Jacques trucked in over 150,000 tons of earth to build the hill).
- Meet Legends and Pioneers who love signing logbooks and telling tales (all true) how from humble beginnings our sport evolved.
